Started with around 20 apps, unpublished the 19 unprofitable ones, and concentrated development on the profitable product. That app has since exceeded 50,000 lifetime app sales across iOS and Android.
Product Development
Shipped the initial apps on Android, then rebuilt the retained product and released its first iOS version. Later migrated to Flutter and Dart to maintain both platforms from a single codebase.
Local persistence and cached content support offline use. A separate content update pipeline allows routine updates without requiring a full store release. Python tooling handles content collection, deduplication, and ingestion, while localization supports the interface and content in multiple languages.
Long-Term Ownership
Development, App Store Connect and Google Play Console distribution, release management, and business administration are handled independently. The product now operates with minimal ongoing upkeep, typically a few days per year for compatibility and content updates.
The result reflects sustained product ownership: evaluating what sells, narrowing scope, extending product life through rebuilds, and keeping maintenance manageable.
